Rhine-and-Roses Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Started bidding at $125. Knew I could get the Intercontinental on Park Lane for $169 on HOTWIRE, so $160 was my max. Continued to add free rebid zones. Most times I received a message to up my bidding by at least $22, or counter offers for $175. I refused, and kept adding $5 until I got the room at $160, plus taxes. It ended up costing about $11 less than the Hotwire offer, which in London, might buy a beer. I was hoping for Sofitel St. James or Marriott Park Lane, which is why I didn't take the HOTWIRE offer in the first place, but am very happy to give this a try. This is for a short trip to celebrate my mother's birthday.I used your PRICELINE link.
