I bid on a post-cruise hotel night and got it for $75, my very first bid ever. Now I'm kicking myself that I must have bid too high. I read everything I could find about SD hotels on this board and checked hotwire and the Sheraton website, which had this hotel, Sheraton Suites, on a special sale for $175 during that time. And there's a 5,000 person convention in town then, so I figured all the 4* hotels would be busy with conventioneers. I'm fine with the hotel, just don't know whether or not I got a good price even though it does seem like less than half of any other price I could find. Was I foolish or lucky?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board!

With a savings of $100 per nite i wouldn't be second guessing yourself at all... i think this is an excellent deal. Even if somebody is able to get it for $5 or $10 less it doesn't change the fact that you got some very nice savings on this stay.
