parkmw Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I used Betterbidding's PRICELINE link to get a 3 star in Soho Financial on 12/3 for 200.00. While it is a bit pricier than I originally wanted, I think its a good deal for that date. We got the SoHo Holiday Inn for one night, after starting in only the times square zone at 140.00 per night, 4 star. I then steadily added zones and dropped down to 2.5 stars as I increased my bid by 15 dollars each time. Overall, I am happy, as my next option was to stay in Jersey. What do you think? Is the SoHo Holiday Inn too far from the Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree lighting?
thereuare Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Congratulations on your win. There is more than one Holiday Inn in this zone, can you confirm that this is the one at 138 Lafayette? If so, you're a block away from the N, R, and W train lines which you can take to the 49th Street stop which will then be a 2 block walk from Rockefeller Center. However, if this is your "thing" by all means go and enjoy, but if you intend to go on the day of the tree lighting you'll need to get there EARLY to get a place you can see and the area is a zoo! I'd sooner spend my time enjoying the city and stop by the tree at some point in order to see it, not necessarily be there at the moment they 'flip the switch'.Thanks for sharing your win with the board and for using our PRICELINE link for your bidding.
