vitasoy1437 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hello,I am looking for one 5* Room for 11/22-23 in Vegas' north part of the strip. My budget is $150 max. Please advise how I should start. I will make sure I click through this site's link this time, cause I didn't do it last time =( . Thank you.
thereuare Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 To confirm, you understand that there is at least one hotel at the 5* level in the North Strip zone which isn't actually directly on the strip? (ie- Trump) Are you fine with a hotel that isn't actually on the strip? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

(ie- Trump) Are you fine with a hotel that isn't actually on the strip? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.Yes, it's okay, because i'll be driving there, so I hv own transportation. The Trump should be ok right (since its a 5* that opened recently... i hv no idea of Trump's hotel quality... but should be fine). Please advise. thanks!
thereuare Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Most people find the Trump to be a quality hotel... those who are negative on it are predominately so based upon the off-strip location and lack of a casino. (also, just to you're prepared, i think it may be valet only)I'm not sure if $150 will be enough given your Saturday nite arrival, but i started low anyway given the fact that you have the re-bid zones available to try and given the recent weakness we've seen in the Vegas market. At the 5* level you have SEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 5* North Strip...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $79, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone4...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone5...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 5* North Strip and re-bid zone6...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone4...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone5...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 5* North Strip and re-bid zone7...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. vitasoy1437 Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hi,I bidded up to $150.00 with no success. If I need to lower the * level, it is okay. Please advise what I should do next. TI ($159), Westin ($119), PH($118) are all okay for me, but I am not sure what $ to start from for them. Thanks.
thereuare Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Based upon the rates above what would be your maximum bid for a 4* hotel? All also add the MGM Grand to the list at $127/nite (thru their "no regrets" promotion)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our MGM Grand link if you go that route) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
vitasoy1437 Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Those are the standard rates I find on Priceline. If I am to bid for them, would starting at $40.00 be okay? Thanks.
