Hoping to land a REsort level hotel, but would drop down to a 4* if we had to. Can you suggest where I might begin. I'm new to this board. I have been watching other posts, but I'm not sure I fully understand the ins and outs of the bidding stategies.thanks!

RE-BIDDING is the most important concept to understand and it is explained in the link provided (be sure to scroll down and read the entire thread as there are graphics near the end which help many understand the concept while they otherwise couldn't grasp it).To 'test' yourself, you have 8 re-bid zones when bidding South Beach at the Resort level and 5 re-bid zones when bidding the 4* level. See if you can figure out which zones you believe are re-bid zones and see if you come up with the same numbers we did. If not, please ask questions and we'll walk you thru whatever point you are stumbling on.Once you have re-bidding down let us know you're maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. Just wondering if I shoud wait another week and try the bidding stategy again or does that just make it harder to get a bid accepted?Thanks for your help. This site is great!

You could easily be rejected today and have success a few days or weeks from now (while the opposite is also true... and acceptance today may get rejected down the road as another user tries to replicate the bid). pboyles Posted September 4, 2004 Author Report Posted September 4, 2004 Just hoping to get some feedback on possible bidding for Miami South Beach for next weekend. check in on 9/10 and check out 9/12. We got "hurricaned out" this weekend. Looking for a resort level and Loews is showing a rate of $279 per night, while Hotwire shows this same hotel for $166 per night. If I bid Priceline (hoping to get the Loews property) any suggestions on a bidding strategy?
