No one is discussing bidding for December in London. I thought I would provide my current (unsuccessful) bidding attempts for a 4* hotel. Any thoughts welcomed. I'm working in the City and want to stay somewhere relatively convenient in terms of transport.

Based upon current rates, my guess is that you may be looking at $140-$160 for these dates... HOTWIRE has what appears may be the Holiday Inn Regents Park close to your budget at $135/nite. I understand this is less than your desired star rating, but perhaps based upon location this would work well for your plans?

Not sure if you want to wait it out, increase your maximum bid, or lower your star rating.

Thanks for pointing the Holiday Inn out on HOTWIRE. I tried the same strategy again, bumping up by $5 with no success. I don't really want to go much higher if I can get a "pretty" definite on HOTWIRE for $10 more. I'll have a look at HOTWIRE again.

Booked a night on HOTWIRE for 3 1/2-star hotel in Bloomsbury - Marble Arch
