Prices seem high - but, any ideas on the hotels??? Is it worth a check into priceline??? I've never used either, and not sure what to do. Suggestions welcome.... for a girls shopping weekend. Thanks much!

Welcome to the site :)

Likely matches:

1. Millennium Knickerbocker

2. Sheraton (4* Smoke Free)

3. Conrad (the 4.5*)

If any of these are of interest, it would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's link to HOTWIRE (click the HOTWIRE)

How many in your party? If more than 2, then I wouldn't recommend PRICELINE

Thank you! I had heard there were conventions in town that weekend and rooms were tight. I'm not sure about those three hotels. I might keep looking.

I might try priceline... thanks for the tips! And there are only two in our party - due to the economy, not many people are shopping! I will definitely use your site to book. It's great!! And if anyone else has any other tips, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

One more thing... I think our first bid on Priceline would be around $150 to $175 for 4* hotel. And we would be willing to go up to $199. Do you think those bids are too high to start? And do you know which hotels Priceline likes to book through?

With Priceline, you have to be aware that you could get any of the participating 4*'s in the area you bid on. There is no "usual" hotel win, you really do have to be willing to accept that you could get any of the 4*'s.

Additionally, if you were to bid on Priceline, I really wouldn't recommend starting that high - based upon the rates, I'd start at $120. If this is a shopping trip, I'd focus on bidding for the River North/North Michigan Ave. area only.

If you do decide to bid on PRICELINE, it would be greatly appreciated if you could start the booking process by clicking on the site's PRICELINE link (click the PRICELINE)
