araomd Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Tried to search the forums, but could not find this hotel:3.5-star hotel in Chicago Loop, with: fitness, business, internetTravel 11-29-08 to 12-3-08.Thanks in advance for your help! :)
thereuare Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Unfortunately this property has not yet been identified (and these seems like very expensive dates for Chicago).AaronJB knows the area well and may be able to take a guess at the above.Pending any guesses, are you able to find anything close to this price for these dates? If not, you may want to see if this hotel appears for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the first nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'... if you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites; if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Also, if your budget is flexible, i didn find the Dana Hotel thru Quickbook for $290/nite which gets excellent reviews.Let us know your thoughts of the aboev and what you ultimately decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further helpPlease use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our Quickbook link if you go with the above) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
AaronJB Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I'll guess this is the Silversmith or the Club Quarters Loop on Adams. Yikes, these are pricey dates.Do you need to be downtown? If not, I can suggest a couple of options outside the city where you could take the train in (on the nicer Metra train, not the CTA train). The suburban options would be less than half what you're looking at paying in the city. The Dana (which is new) is $291 on Expedia.com and you could use the FAN50 coupon, which would get $50 off the final total. You also get free breakfast.Still, if you don't mind a train ride, you'd be saving hundreds over the course of the trip.
araomd Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 Thanks for your help, I will let you know what I book. The week after thanksgiving is the annual Radiologic Society of North America meeting, always at Mcormick in Chicago. It is the biggest medical conference in the US. That is why that week is always bad for hotels.
