Kola Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Hi friends,I am new to the forum and have never bid on hotels before. I am a student and I am gng to newyork on the 20-23. Can you please advise where should i find a hotel to stay. Some people recommend staying in the jersey area as it is cheap and safe . Can you guys please advise me and tell me how to go about bidding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
thereuare Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Welcoem to BetterBidding!I am a student...Just to confirm, are you over 21 years old (by terms of use, the minimum age requirement ot use PRICELINE)newyork on the 20-23What month? What is your expected budget (per nite before taxes and fees) for this stay? Will you have a car?Let us know the above and we'll be a better position to advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Kola Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Hi,Thanks for the reply.Yes I am above 21 and I will not have a car. I am gng on vaccation to newyork as I have never been to north before. My budget is about 100$ per day and the dates would be 20-23 november 2008. Please advise. Thanks
thereuare Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 There are no HOTWIRE hotels showing in Jersey City (the best "NJ side" zone) for your dates.Outside of Jersey most commuting is done via bus (vs. the PATH train when in jersey city), but the bus often stops running after midnite (dpending upon the day of the week)... would you likely be staying out late and returning after midnite? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Kola Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 hi,got doubletree for dates 11/20-11/23. thanks for sharing the ideas. i used the PRICELINE link.
thereuare Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Glad to hear you were successful... this property should work out much better than any of the non-Jersey City options. The PATH train is just a short walk from this property, and there are quite a few restaurants in the immediate area.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
