Expedia had it for $230 per night (non-refundable) plus tax, or $1381. I figured I'd check Priceline (used it for airline tickets before), but I was nervous about booking just "any" hotel in DC, and unsure what their star rating meant. Thank goodness I "googled" for PRICELINE hotel bidding. I found this forum, of course, and checked out the Priceline hotel list in DC and saw some typical bids. Dang! I had been thinking of bidding $150 per night and just hoping I'd get lucky. Anyhow, after reading a few more posts here, I selected Dupont Circle since I liked the two Priceline hotels the sticky here describes. I figured I'd try a lowball bid of $75 per night, honestly not thinking it would be accepted. And so here I am, staying for 5 nights for less than 1/3rd of the price. Wow. Thank you.
