jeaneco Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Going to the Phillies Parade on Halloween. Decided to try to get a room since the city will be mobbed. Bid $65 for downtown 4* hotel for one night, Friday Oct. 31. rejected. Rebid using University City for $75 and was rejected again. Decided to try the 3 1/2* rate at $65. Accepted. Taxes and service $16.84 giving the grand total of $81.84. I was a little disappointed to see this was posted as a three star hotel in an adjacent area (not a 4* in downtown which was my intended choice). But close enough and my joy for the Phillies runith over. We'll have a great time regardless. :)
thereuare Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Thank you for sharing yoru winning bid wiht the board. If you wanted a 4* Downtown then i'm not sure why you included the other zones and lowered your star rating, unless you weren't willing to pay more than $75/nite (which was rejected in this zone). However, even at the 3.5* level, you had re-bid zones which you could have used in order to continue bidding in just the Downtown zone at the 3.5* level. It would be appreciated if you used the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future travel purchases.Enjoy your stay and the parade. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
