slick_gd Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 I noticed that HOTWIRE lists the tripadvisor traveler rating for the 3.5* hotel as 4/5 based on 400+ reviews. Referencing tripadvisor directly yields one hotel that matches this rating, and that is the Viva Wyndham Azteca with a 4/5 rating based on 409 reviews.HOTWIRE does not list a tripadvisor rating for the 4* hotel which makes it more difficult to track down as there are many resorts in the area. Two possibilities are the Riu Palace Mexico and the Occidental Grand Xcaret. I narrowed these down based on the 4* all-inclusive resorts as identified on tripadvisor and then matched up the amenities. Keep in mind that tripadvisor and HOTWIRE hotel ratings do not always coincide and there could be other hotels that could match.Help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
thereuare Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Thanks for waiting...The 3.5* is a match for the Viva Wyndham Azteca so that would also be my best guess for that property.... my guess for the 4* is either the Blue Bay Esmeralda or the Moon Palace (although i'm not 100% certain this second property is located in the zone or not, it's very difficult to tell from the map that HOTWIRE shows (even though i've actually stayed at this property))Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
