albanach Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 A bit disappointed to get the Hyatt as it's listed on PRICELINE.com as 3*. I'd been aiming for the Marriott right at the airport that is listed as 3.5*.Still, the rate elsewhere is about $90 for the night, and the money saved can pay for the $25 breakfast or whatever they charge! Plus the free shuttle could be a saving as some other hotels in the area don't run a shuttle.An airports forum would be a good idea.
thereuare Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Thank you for sharing your win with the board... while not the hotel you were expecting, at least you're happy with the price, and for the deal you received, you'll make it work for your needs.Can you clarify the address of the hotel you received... i know there is a Hyatt Place in Sterling which is rated 3 stars, but there are two other Hyatt properties in this zone which are both rated 3.5*, and i'm assuming that you received one of these. If it is the Hyatt Place can you doublecheck your winning bid page to make sure it's listed as a 3.5* as i too believe that the Hyatt Place property is 3 star rated (and i don't think i have seen any rated 3.5* yet)An airports forum would be a good idea.Did you know that you can 'create' your own forum at any time? I'm more than aware that the price advantage of priceline comes at this comparatively small cost.Thanks for the great board.
