thereuare Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!this site helped me so much with my paris trip last yearIt would have been nice if you shared your results with the board... perhaps your win could have helped another user (just as others posting their wins helped you :) )Regarding DC there is no one area which is close to "everything" but...PRICELINE and HOTWIRE each use different zone names and boundaires. You mention bidding, but this is in the Hotwire section of the board.... which service were you looking to use for this stay? What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees) and desired star rating? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. firedoghfd Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Posted October 22, 2008 i belive i did share the information from my last trip however i no longer have access to that e-mail and do not recall the user name my wife used. sorry i didn't mean to say bid......i know hotwire has prices listed however i am unsure of which area would be best.nightly max would be 150 however closer to 100 would be better.highspeed is a plus, hotub and fitness a plus. I am looking for a 3* or higher.
thereuare Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 The most frequently purchased zones in Washington DC thru HOTWIRE are the (White House - Capitol Hill) and (Dupont Circle - Embassy Row) zones, but you should doublecheck each of these and determine if both/either would work for your needs. There is an unidentified 4* hotel in the Dupont Circle zone for $99/nite for your dates as well as a $136 4* hotel in the Whilte House zone... this White House zone hotel shows Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business but more importanly shows a TA rating of 4.5/5.0 so it is highly rated by guests who have stayed there. This is a match for the Sofitel Lafayette Square and that would be our best guess, and you can see the reviews here are very good and assuming correct, you can see if this location will work well for your needs. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if you decide upon either of the above or how we can be of further help.
