We needed a hotel for sure for Sat. 18/10 and had no luck bidding last week. Ended up getting a good deal for the one night through Hotels.com for $320 (plus fees & taxes = $375) but with guarantees of a deluxe king room and non-smoking so we're happy with that. For Oct. 19 & 20, I figured prices might drop closer to the date as hotels are more certain of their vacancies. So tonight I tried priceline looking for a 4*, anywhere in Manhattan, $140 then $150 then won it at $165 at the same hotel we're booked in for Sat. night. Perfect!
