PaulaF Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Hi all,I'm a newbie to this site and hotwire. I've found a hotel in NY for 24-28 Oct 4* Empire State Building area. Amenities are: boutique, restaurant, complimentary bfast, high speed internet and business center. need help identifying! Thanks
slick_gd Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Does HOTWIRE list the tripadvisor traveler review rating for this hotel? If so, please include the traveler review rating, the # of reviews it is based on, and the date of last review.

slick_gd Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 One other piece of information is that the review is based on 100+ reviews.Searching tripadvisor directly these are the two options that match the tripadvisor criteria in the area:W New York- The Court: 3.5/5 on 118 reviews Dylan Hotel - 3.5/5 on 130 reviewsBoth are boutique hotels. If I had to choose, my guess would be the W, but it very may well be the Dylan, or possibly even some other hotel altogether.Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
thereuare Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 I'm not sure that the Dylan or the W serve complimentary breakfast.I just tried searching HOTWIRE myself for these dates to see if could add any insight and i'm not seeing this hotel currently offered... are you still seeing this on HOTWIRE? If so, what is the price and are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. PaulaF Posted October 19, 2008 Author Report Posted October 19, 2008 Thanks for the advice. When I tried to book that deal on Friday it wouldnt go through and came up with a message telling me that itinerary was no longer available and then when I searched again it had been removed. Not sure if this happens a lot??? So I dont know what that hotel was unfortunately. This morning I searched again and found a 4* hotel in the ESB area for $209 a night 24 - 28 Oct, total $939.39 inc taxes. Over 330 reviews on TA, 4/5 rating, last reviewed Sept 08 and with amenities restaurant, high speed internet and business centre. I went ahead and booked this one and got the Carlton on Madison Avenue! Am very pleased - thanks again for all your help and well done on such a great tool. Saw the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins but not sure how to add my info - let me know if there's anything else I can do to pass this on.Paula
