Hotwire Hotel: 3* Sioux Falls Holiday Inn Centre City

Started with the HOTWIRE link of this website. The goal was to try to get this hotel. My concern with bidding on Priceline for it, is the change in star ratings on Priceline. I have seen that others have gotten both the Holiday Inn and the Sheraton in Sioux Falls by bidding on Priceline for $45 recently. However, they won them as 2 1/2*. When I checked PRICELINE, there were 2 1/2's and 3 * available to bid on. If the Holiday Inn and Sheraton were 3*, I couldn't figure what the 3* was, unless it was the Residence Inn, which was listed on Priceline as a 3* under the hotels that come up on their site before bidding. I didn't want the Residence Inn, and didn't want other possible 2 1/2 * hotels such as Country Inn & Suites, etc. We really wanted either Holiday Inn or the Sheraton.

To make a long story short, HOTWIRE, while probably being a slightly higher price, seemed more of a safe bet. Besides, I'd had to pay $65 for the Holiday Inn earlier in the year.

Amenities listed were the same as earlier this year for the Holiday Inn, except they've now added Non-Smoking as an amenity, in addition to fitness club, restaurant, business center, high speed internet & golf nearby.

Price: $59 for two nights plus taxes and fees: $118+$15.95

133.94 total

I might add that a relative booked this same deal at the same time I did, and got the same exact thing.
