edan12 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Coincidentally I have the exact same travel dates as the original post's I tried your suggested strategy for NMA with serial bids up to $80 and was rejected. What is my best next move? Thanks for the help.
AaronJB Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Moved post to its own topic. What is your max budget for these dates?
thereuare Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 I'll also add that $80 may not have been realistic for these dates (although as i noted i don't think it's too far off) but that was the maximum bid of the OP of the previous thread. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. edan12 Posted October 17, 2008 Author Report Posted October 17, 2008 Thanks for the help.My goal is to stay under $100 per night after taxes/fees.
AaronJB Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 There is a 3.5* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville area on HOTWIRE for $82 per night for these dates with the amenities: fitness, business, internet, restaurant, pool. This would be either a match for the Wyndham or Doubletree, but given the 4/5 tripadvisor rating, it would appear to more likely be the Wyn.This would be a very good choice in terms of location and staying under budget after taxes/fees.It would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's HOTWIRE link (click the HOTWIRE) to start your purchase.
thereuare Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 edan12,Is the HOTWIRE offer suggested above by AaronJB sufficient for your needs and you'd like to go for that one at levels you have already bid (although a half star rating lower) OR do you prefer to try PRICELINE for a 4* up to your limit of $100?Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. edan12 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 I would rather bid on Priceline for a 4* up to my limit. Thanks! Edan12
