bpincary Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 I started by requesting a 3-star at the airport at $37, also rejected after adding Glen Allen at $40 (that took a few minutes for a response) then upped to $43 and $45 using 2-star zones.I saw the topic about someone getting West End Sheraton, so I added West End (not one of my 2 target zones) and DROPPED my price a dollar to $44... and got it. Suspect a dollar or two lower may have done it but am quite happy anyway. Need n/s with 2 beds - will follow up on how that goes.Your Offer Price: $44.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.00 Total Charges: $56.00 Keep up the great work - I for one really appreciate this site. Oh, I've been using Savings Barn all along - 3 reservations now.
thereuare Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 Thanks for the report and the compliments on the site. Your steadfast support is appreciated. :) I was a little concerned as i was reading about you lowering to 2* and raising your bid at the same time (If You Lower Your Star Level... Lower your Price) but was glad to see you were rejected as i think that was a blessing in disguise.Enjoy your stay at the Sheraton. bpincary Posted July 19, 2004 Author Report Posted July 19, 2004 Oops.. sorry I confused you.. I only added 2-star zones to the search - I didn''t request a 2-star - only a 3-star all along.
