PRICELINE is definitely not the way to go if you are looking for a specific hotel. The reason why you can get such great deals on PRICELINE is because you have no way of knowing which hotel you are going to get, and you cannot cancel the reservation if you are unhappy with the result. You give up choice and flexibility for price.

HOTWIRE works in a similar way, but you are given a little more information about the hotel before you book the reservation. HOTWIRE will typically list a set of amenities associated with the hotel and sometimes even the tripadvisor traveler review rating. With this information you can cross-reference some of the previous hotel wins on this board to get a better idea of which hotel it might be. However nothing is ever guaranteed.

You need to be aware of these limitations before we advise on a bidding strategy.

The Hyatt has been reported as both a PRICELINE and HOTWIRE win previously on this board, so there is definitely a chance that you may get it going this route.

What are the dates of your stay? and are you dead set on the Orlando Hyatt, or are you open to other options?

It doesn't have to be "absolutely" Hyatt regency, but I heard it is descent Hotel. That's why....

I live in Orlando, and I am looking for somewhere for just special "weekend away stay" for resonable price.

This was for this weekend, Oct, 12 Sunday, I did bid $39 on PRICELINE, and I got Sheraton Suites MCO (Supposed be 3, 1/2 star ) This is not what I wanted, but it's ok for this weekend

However, If you have any more tips or info about Orlando Hotel, Please let me know because I will do this "weekend stay" again.

Thank you
