Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Maryland-DC Suburbs (Silver Spring-College Park) Crowne Plaza

(3.5* by Priceline's guidelines, but 3* by everyone else's)

This was my first priceline experience ever, and I made sure to use the PRICELINE link from this site since it was extremely helpful and encouraging towards getting a hotel in this area through PL. For such short notice, I absolutely had no idea I could get a non-scary hotel in the Silver Spring area for less than $150. Even the Motel 6 was near $100 and I sure wasn't going to keep my family there in a town I'm not familiar with. Yesterday, I was messing around on other sites as well as PRICELINE, and when I saw the name your price feature, I tried bids like 90 and 100, and didn't even think it was within the realm of possibility to bid much lower than that. Thanks for the inspiration and helpful information guys! Now I feel like a future PRICELINE junkie!

Counteroffer from PL - Needed to be a minimum of $15 more than my original bid - $70

2nd Bid - $70 (it didn't let me put in anything less than $15 less) - ACCEPTED @ Crowne Plaza
