ktfaye Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I've been reading this site for a while, and just did my first PRICELINE bid. Using the PRICELINE link found here I first made a bid for $68 for a 4* hotel and it was rejected. Then remembering what I'd read here about changing the star level, I changed it to 3.5 stars and resubmitted. I got a message saying my bid had been accepted and that I had been "upgraded" to a 4*. I was curious so I checked some other online sites and found the following (prices include tax and all that)Orbitz: $489Travelocity: $489Hotels.com: $481Expedia: $476Hyatt Online booking: 438Regular Priceline site: $434My PRICELINE bidding price: $173.71Savings: range from $324 to $261:) So needless to say I'm a happy camper. Thanks so much to you guys and this site!
thereuare Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win! If you're a light sleeper board member zbenye recommends requesting a room not facing the main road of this hotel as you can hear the noise from the road at nite, although i've stayed here twice, once facing the road and didn't hae any problem. (second time we faced the courtyard) Glad to hear of your first PRICELINE win and to see that you got an incredible deal... we're always please to know that the board was helpful in your purchase.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Have a great stay.
