zbenye Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 On the left, under my handle, I see "Advanced Member". Others have "Newbie" or "Member" etc. Can these levels do different things? Can I, for example, delete all of bturner's posts? :)
thereuare Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Funny you should ask, because he asked me last week if his status enabled him to delete your posts! There are currently no special privleges associated with the member levels, but when i had an extra one time use "bonus money" link available, i was going to offer it to the first Member with 'x' number of posts, so there could be benefits down the road.I had recently visited a cruise related board that offers "ship dollars" which increase everytime you post. You can then purchase additional features on the board by spending your ship dollars. I thought it was an interesting idea, but i think that features make the board easier to use, and why disadvantage a new(er) member. The funny part of the story is that somebody <jokingly> posted, "How do i exchange my "ship dollars" for an onboard credit on my cruise. The administrator thought the poster was serious and nearly had a heart attack, trying his best to explain that hey had no monetary value. It was good for a laugh. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
