cottonsworth Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Word of caution. I did some further research and Hilton Island Head is really in South Carolina and takes 30-45 minutes to get to downtown Savannah. So if distance is a consideration, I would try to get something actually in Savannah.
thereuare Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! What are the actual dates of your stay? (is this a 2 nite stay or a 4 nite stay... or are your plans not yet finalized)As well, the hotels you've asked about vary greatly in terms of star rating and price... what type of hotel are you looking for and what is your budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. alabamadaisy Posted October 7, 2008 Author Report Posted October 7, 2008 Thank you for the replies. We are staying in the area 4 nights, but are undecided at this point about whether we want all 4 nights in Hilton Head or just two (and two closer to historic savannah). We would like to stay under $100 a night and all of these, if we do only two nights, will work for our budget. We are looking for a family friendly hotel (we have preschoolers).
thereuare Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 For the first listing if you re-run your HOTWIRE search and click the CONTINUE button (with the price in it) and then click the 'view all amenities' link on the next page (under the amenity icons) do you see more than the eight you've posted above?Identifying hotels can be a time consuming process, and these hotels may not be the ones offered once you're ready to commit to a purchase, so please firm up your plans and post back once you've decided how many nites you'd like to stay in each area. As well, what type of hotels do you typcially stay in? Most users looking for a 4* hotel at $100+ are not also considering a 2* hotel for $39 (and vice-versa)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. alabamadaisy Posted October 8, 2008 Author Report Posted October 8, 2008 The business trip were were extending was cancelled today, so I no longer need help with hotels.
