thereuare Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 This property has not yet been identified, but without nothing else to go on, i'd guess it might be the Hotel des Artistes which has previously been reported at the 3* level in this zone and with these amenities, but with the addition of a Business icon... perhaps the Business icon has been removed?More importanly i would focus on the TripAdvisor 3.5/5.0 rating... i would interpret this that the generally the user reviews are positive. If you think you're a fussy traveler and need specific amenities and qualities, then the above offering may not be for you... but if you're pretty easy going, just need a clean place to lay your head at the end of the day, then the savings may be worth the risk of the unknown. You could also see if this hotel appears for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, purchase the single nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'... if you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. 1MoreBrightonR Posted October 3, 2008 Author Report Posted October 3, 2008 That was my guess too though i am a little wary as some rooms seem to much more basic than others. On Hotels.com, a room in this price range is the 'budget' room, which looks a bit ...well...budget!I may take the chance anyway...price is important and its super cheap. thanks for the help.

c30steve Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 I am arriving the same day and came across this offer as well on Hotwire. For this hotel, Hotwire tips off the user by citing the Trip Advisor rating (3.5) and number of reviews (220+). Based on this information, Trip Advisor indicates this may be either the Hotel des Artistes or Atlante Star Hotel. Usually I am good at identifying the precise hotel using this approach, but I can not pinpoint which of the two hotels this offer applies. I am interested to know as well.
slick_gd Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Mapping out these hotels, it looks like the Hotel des Artistes is located in Rome Central while the Atlante Star Hotel is in the Vatican City Area.So for the 3* in Rome Central with the tripadvisor rating of 3.5/5 based on 220+ reviews, I would second thereuare's guess of the Hotel des Artistes. It's very hard to pinpoint the Rome North hotel with such little information as HOTWIRE doesn't list the tripadvisor traveler rating.Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
