jk9209 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 :) Priceline accepted my bidding at $60.00 + tax in SF Civic Center, they gave me The Renoir Hotel.I reserved 2 rooms for 3 night (check in 10/19, check out 10/22)I read all reviews, realized that I made a big mistake.....I have a child, and a couple of Honeymooner. (that's why reserved 2 rooms), all of reviews saying the area is really bad and not safe at all. This is the first bidding in my life, I regret that I should study more in this site. I didn't expected them to accept this lower amount without realizing that I indicated only 2 star hotel. I really hope that I can cancel this reservation, and re-bidding for the higher grade of hotel in SF. (willing to pay more)I tried contact the customer service # 1800-774-2354, can't hold of any live person, and can't find any other#.What can I do? I made a terrible mistake to ruin my sister's honeymoon and get my child scare. Can anyone help me?I also need 1 night at SFO on 10/18, I'm afraid of retry with Priceline.com.

jk9209 Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 Priceline was nice enough to cancel this reservation as a ONE TIME ONLY basis since I did mis-bid with hotel stars. They took the cancelation fee $75.00 something, I will get the $50.00 back if I re-bid & win, whichmeans they will keep $25.00 as a final penalty. Now, I need try again with 3 or 4 star hotel in USW or USE or Fisherman's Warf or Marina or Civic Center (The least favorite now based on the previous bitter experience).I saw the calendar of Wins that 3 * for $95.00 (Fisherman) & 4* for $97.00 (USW). Can you tell me how I start with? what's the plan I should stay with? My budget is maximun $99.00 per night, Do I have any benefit to have 3 nights for 2 rooms?I should get more benefit compare to whoever bidding for only 1 night, right?
