MO St Louis Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center West-Chesterfield

My family stayed at this hotel for one night on Sept. 23rd. When we arrived at check in, we were greeted warmly and given a large warm chocolate chip cookie for each of us. It was a nice touch after a long drive. Our room had two double beds that seemed a bit larger than most doubles. My wife and I slept comfortably even though we have a king bed at home. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel. Even though I knew before we went, I didn't like the fact that to use the fitness facilities there is a $10 charge per person per day or $15 for a family of three or larger. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again. Bob :)

This hotel is attached to a private club and this is why there is a fee involved in using the gym. However, no one ever checks to see if you are a member or a hotel guest. You can enter through the pool bathrooms right to the gym area.

The Doubletree was very full the night we stayed and we got kind of a shabby room with two double beds. I thought the double beds were tiny.

Loud AC that couldn't keep it cold.

Also the bathroom shower water smelled terrible.

This hotel is under renovation - our room was obviously one that hadn't been touched yet.

We found an ozone unit in on the bar when we walked in - I have no idea why it was left there. Maybe because the room had a slightly musty or maybe it was an old smoking room? I didn't smell anything bad myself (except for the water in the bathroom).

Cookies are always good - we enjoyed those. Internet was not free which is always a bummer.

When we came back through Chesterfield we stayed at the Homewood Suites which is only about a mile away from the Doubletree. We paid an online rate of $99 for it versus the $60 I pricelined the Doubletree. It was sooo much better! Free fast Internet, big cooked breakfast, nice outdoor area with BBQs and pool. They also have free evening meals Mon-Thurs.
