Bidding for a friend, my initial bid of $45 produced counteroffer to add $13 ($58). Added free rebid zone, increased to $47 and accepted.

Both the 3.5 San Ramon & Pleasanton Marriotts are superior to the still-3 star Sheratons & Radisson in Pleasanton/Dublin, so the PRICELINE rating restructuring in this zone is a positive move IMO.

Congratulations on your (your friend's??) success!

Glad to hear the new ratings for this zone have been a positive development for your bidding. I've stated before that i think that overall this is a good move, not just in terms of bidding, but also enables some 'in between' 3*/4* properties to be categorized in a more accurate 3.5* rating.

Thanks for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin the bidding.

Hope your friend enjoys the hotel.
