Was playing around with my AMS dates (4 nights) and managed to come up with the first night so far.

Consistently being turned down at 4* level bids for pairs (2 nights) so reverted to single night bids.

It seems there is availability on 13th, but not on 14/15/16th....so there is something going on.

There is availability showing at the regular winning Hotel web sites, and no event I can find until the AMS marathon on Oct 19th.

In order to avoid a possible upgrade to the 5* Krasnapolsky due to very negative reports recently, I am keeping my 4* bids to a level beneath the $ upgrade threshold and bidding every 24 hrs with one rebid zone available.

Managed to delete the PRICELINE 'bid accepted' email.

So I'm waiting for their follow up email which MAY allow me extend my stay at the same rate (by 1 night)

4*AMS City Center - 14/15/16th Oct.

Bid multiple times for single nights, plus various combo's of pairs.

Everything rejected up to $150. Several counters ranging from $172 - $185.

Looks like there is an inventory shortage at lower rates.
