Priceline Hotel: 4* Toronto (Downtown) Sheraton Centre

Hello,

I am new to the form! I needed to book 5 rooms in downtown Toronto for a group event. I was advised of this Wonderful Forum!! I went through the different topics and tips and figured that it was time to put this new found knowlege to the test.

I followed step by step what "iginlafire" had mentioned and used the PRICELINE link from this forum:

"Tried first bid at $60, then added Brampton and upped bid to $64. Accepted.

It is worth noting that after the unsuccessful first bid, I got the message that Priceline was giving me a "one-time special offer" to re-bid without changing anything but my price, "based on the range of hotels you selected." It also stated that if I increased my offer by $17 it would be accepted. It didn't make any sense to do that with all the re-bid zones for downtown, so I didn't. And it saved me $13 over that "guaranteed to be accepted" price."

Everything went as mentioned above but I got the 5 rooms at the Sheraton Centre for $67us per room for Oct 2nd 2008:D

P.S. A friend of mine works at a 4 star hotel downtown Toronto and before I tried BB gave me his best rate for 5 rooms at $209 per room......and that WAS a deal compared to his regular rate.
