ash Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Am looking for a budget 2* accomodation in NYC, figured since I am travelling alone, I can rough it out (if i get a bad hotel) and save some dough!!Dates: 4 nites: Sat, Oct 4-Wed, 8th, 2008Looking at the options from the Priceline list for NYC, I see the following hotels:SOHO 2* Clarion The GEM Hotel2* Gild HallEmpire State Bldg2* Clarion Park Avenue2* Murray Hill Suites East - My ideal choice since my work is in the vicinity and looks like a good area for late evening drinksMSG2* Best Western Convention Center Midtown East2.5* Courtyard MarriottMidtown West2* Washington Jefferson Hotel (previously 2.5*)Times Square/Theater Dist2* Milford Plaza I guess my questions are, can the Murray Hill Suites can still be won for $90 as previously posted? if not what are my choices from the ones left, definitely want to stay below $105 all taxes inclusive.Whats the price for Gild Hall, and hows the commute from SOHO to central park? Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Keep in mind the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List... the hotels above should not be considered inclusive of all possibilities in the zone.can the Murray Hill Suites can still be won for $90 as previously posted? If you try bidding that zone up to $90 you'll know for certain :) , but i'm going to guess that you're not likely to win a hotel for $90 for these dates.if not what are my choices from the ones left, definitely want to stay below $105 all taxes inclusive.I'm doubtufl that $90 is going to be enough for a hotel in Manhattan for these dates... you can, and should, try as we don't see much 2* bidding in Manhattan (with good reason, imo) and perhaps you'll get lucky and find a hotel with low rates loaded in the system for these dates. If you need help with a bidding strategy let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
