Hotwire Hotel: 4* San Francisco (Airport South-Burlingame) Embassy Suites

I searched Hotwire for a San Francisco hotel 5/31/09 for 1 night.

It came back showing a 4* hotel for $79. The amenities match those for the Embassy Suites. However not all mentioned on this forum were mentioned on Hotwire. It did not list: Laundry, High speed internet, Golf or a kitchenette.

(Hotwire listed: Suite, Oceanfront, Airport shuttle, Complimentary breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center.)

Could this still be the Embassy Suites or any idea which hotel is might be?

Generally, when you are referring to the hotel lists you want all the amenities to match and nothing should be left out. However, amenities do change at times and I think this is one of those cases.

When I punched your dates into HOTWIRE the same amenities were listed but it also noted the tripadvisor traveler review rating of 3.5 out of 5 based on 120+ reviews with the last one in September. Going to tripadvisor directly and searching hotels in the Burlingame area, only the Embassy Suites matched this criteria.

So in this case I would assume it is the Embassy Suites. But keep in mind for the future that this is not often the case.

What amenities does HOTWIRE associate with the hotel being offered?

Also, with HOTWIRE's new display format (implemented a month or so ago) it take an extra step to see the complete set of amenities... if you go to HOTWIRE and search again, then click the continue button, under the eight amenities shown there is a link 'see all amenities'... if you click that do you see more amenities than just the eight you've listed above?

I booked the hotel, and it was the Embassy Suites in Burlingame. :) :)

In Summary:

Hotwire listed on the search page: $79, 4* hotel in SFO Burlingame area, Amenities: Suite, Oceanfront, Airport shuttle, Complimentary breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center.

After clicking "continue" and "see all amenities" it also listed: Laundry, High speed internet, Golf nearby, Kitchenette (as mentioned on the hotel list of this forum).

One amenity icon that's always a dead-ringer for Embassy Suites is the oceanfront display. Although it's really only "bayfront" none of the other hotels in the zone are located directly alonside the water's edge like Embassy Suites.
