Priceline Hotel: 2* Albany (Suny Albany-Thruway Area) Best Western Sovereign Hotel

Got better deals in the area before (3* Marriott and ** Holiday Inn for $55 or less) but this time I wasn't able to get any 3*s at this price using the Latham and Suny Albany free re-bid zones.

Started bidding at $40, finally got the 2* Best Western at $55 ($67 with taxes and services fees). Best available rate for the same date on the Best Western site was $80 ($91.19 with taxes) or $72 if fully prepaid. A 27% savings.

One good thing: this hotel includes complimentary full (buffet) breakfast. Not the best deal ever, but I'm still happy with the result.

I did, actually. Priceline Albany Holiday Inn and Priceline Albany Marriott. Which made me realize that I had paid $55 and $60 for the 3*'s, not less than $55 as I had stated in the post above.

Sorry i missed your other posts... i had assumed that they were in the same zone as the above (in the SUNY-Thruway zone) and didn't see any other hotels reported in that zone. I see your other posts now which are in the Airport ALB zone.
