wickedwizard Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 First bid for 12/27. Started at $60. Added Kensington and bid $85 and got Copthorne. Should have rebid @ $75 but oh well. Second bid for 12/26. Started at $55. Added Kensington area and rebid $65. Waited 24 hours and rebid $70. Nothing. Finally 24 hrs later rebid $75 and got Copthorne again. Hopefully we get a decent room. Total comes to $202 including tax for 2 nights. Better than the travellodge deal @ 39 pounds pn=I used the BB PRICELINE link for the 1st bid and don't remember if I used it for the 2nd time :)
thereuare Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing your results with the board.Glad to see you're happy with the results and that you received the same hotel for both purchases and therefore wont' need to change properties during your stay. At check-in, let them know that you have a second reservation for the following nite and ask them to block the room off for you... you may (likely) still need to go to the front desk on 'switch' day and have them officially check you out and in again, but at you shouldn't need to change rooms.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
