XT600 Posted September 25, 2008 Author Report Posted September 25, 2008 Resort fee is $22 meanwhile :)what do you mean with "Summerlin isnot a rebid zone"? I bid for 4* in Henderson and then -as not accepted - I added Summerlin as "free rebid" zone as in summerlin is not 4* Hotel.... or do you mean the resort counts as 4* ? I always learn new thing in this forum, good to know!!
thereuare Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 The star rating you select is the minimum you are willing to accept, and PRICELINE will always try to upgrade you to a higher star rated hotel first (so when bidding, regardless of star rating, they're always checking 5* hotels first, then resorts, then 4*, then 3.5*, then 3*, etc, etc down to the minimum you selected). Therefore your PRICELINE bid for a 4* hotel can be upgraded to a Resort class property, which is why Summerlin isn't (and shouldn't be used as) a re-bid zone. XT600 Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks for the explanation... however you can call it "upgrade" as the Loews seem to be a resort style? At least they charge a resort fee of $22?
thereuare Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 It's an upgrade because in the PRICELINE hierarchy of star ratings "Resort" quality is above 4 stars. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
XT600 Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 no upgrade as Loews Henderson is sold a 4* not a resort (at least they don't let you bid on resort in Henderson, only in Summerlin.BTW: regards from Loews!! It was a great deal, and absolutely fabulous hotel, quiet and relaxing as wanted to have! :)
