pope Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Would like bidding assistance for 4* in the San Francisco Embarcadero zone for 2 nights 10/24/08 and 10/25/08.
thereuare Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Have you seen the new zone boundaries on PRICELINE... the Embarcadero area has just been separated from the USE area, are both of these (and possibly USW) acceptable or are you only interested in the Embarcadero zone? What is your maximum bid for this stay?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. pope Posted September 17, 2008 Author Report Posted September 17, 2008 I did see that the zones were split. I have over a month to get a room so for now I just want to focus on Embarcadero because I'd like to see if I could score the Hilton Financial. Past winning bids in 2008 seem to go from $70-$140 so I'd like to set a limit of $100 for now. Also curious if there is a hotel list for the new Embarcadero zone. Thanks
thereuare Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 We havent' updated the hotel list yet (this move just took place yesterday) but Colfax as posted an update in THIS POST. :)Is there something happening in San Francisco these dates that you know of as rates are very high. Rates at the Hilton Financial are $400+ per nite so i would think that your chances are faily low of winning a hotel there for $100 or less.If you want to try anyway, you have THREE re-bid zones available at the 3* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 4* Embarcadero...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Embarcadero and re-bid zone3...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. pope Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 I was asked by the Michigan guy to follow up this post with the results of my search. I ended up never bidding on a hotel in this district for these dates.
