Priceline Airline Bid and Rules

I have never used Priceline to bid on my airfare. But I'm trying to find the cheapest flight possible to Las Vegas in March.

My question is about their rules...

they say that if you miss the outbound flight then the remaining reservations are canceled.

Does this include if the flight doesn't take off on time (delays)?

What about if you miss the connection flight because of delays etc?

Does the airfare bid include taxes, fees, etc?

Can I decline after they add that amount on or do I have to take it?

Thanks for any help!

Hey,

With PRICELINE after they guarantee you a ticket, you are subject to that air carrier's rules and regulations concerning delays. So for instance, if your flight gets delayed and you miss a connection, PRICELINE doesn't cancel your reservation and you are stuck in, say Denver. The airline will book you on their next available flight. Given that Priceline uses very discounted fairs and considering how full planes are now, don't except to be given priority in rebooking.

What the rule that you read is more concerning is people buying a ticket with the sole intention of only taking the second half of a round trip ticket. The Priceline rule is to stop people from buying a round-trip ticket from say LA to Denver but they only want to fly from Denver to LA (the return leg). Thus if they miss the flight from LA to Denver, then they can't catch the flight from Denver to LA. This is actually common on nearly all airline tickets.

Hope this helps!
