I have seen in forum after searching 14 day dates, folks staying in 4* Theater district and winning in the high 100's. I am going $250 and adding MTE and still rejected. any suggestions

We are needing two nights, Sept. 25 and 26. I also bid midtown east and Time square. not much luck

Rates are date specific... i suspect that many of the wins you're seeing in the mid-$100's are from the summer when rates are typically lower than at the end of September.

As well, very generally speaking, weekend dates in NYC are lower than midweek dates, and your stay above includes one date of each, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

Lastly, NYC is fairly compact and any of the midtown zones are usually acceptable for the typical 'tourist', is there a reason (avoiding specific) hotels that you're not including any of the ther other midtown zones in your bidding? Based upon current rates adding other zones may not help, but given that you're already up to $250, which from your post appears to be more than you originally intended on bidding, why not consider other neighboring zones in hopes of getting a reasonably priced room in a nearby area?
