Priceline Hotel: Bidding Assitance 5* Las Vegas Strip North (The Venetian)

I am trying to get The Venetian for Sept 20 only as I have a free night for Sept 19.

My first bid was for $80, and they countered offer for $177, I tried to do the rebid trick by adding another zone and raising the price to $85 but it gave me an error. Any advice? Thanks in advance,

Can you post exactly what you did and maybe we can find out what happened. Which zone and star rating you started with, and then which zone you added when they counter offered.

Also, it is not guaranteed that you will get the Venetian when bidding on PRICELINE. You should be open to the possibility of winning a different hotel. If you are looking for the Venetian specifically, you may be able to increase your odds going with HOTWIRE.

I started with 5* Las Vegas North, then I added an extra zone without a 5* and raised my bid. Then it just said they couldnt accept my offer.

Did you get a message that they couldn't accept your offer (as per your second post) or did you receive an error message (as per your first post)

Two Side Notes:

1) $80-$85 isn't going to be enough for a 5* hotel in Vegas

2) you mention in your topic title that you're bidding for the Venetian by bidding for a 5*in the North Strip, but a reminder that you're not bidding on a specific hotel, and there are other 5* properties offered in this zone (including the Trump International which is atually slightly off-strip)

I was testing things out for 5 star and bid $50 in Priceline for Zone 6 and 7 and it rejected them. First I tried 6, reject. Then both 6 and 7. It didnt come back at all with a counter offer. this was for mid week too.
