Had to stay downtown as it is only a few blocks from parent's house.

Tried 4* and 3* several times in one day by choosing other vicinities that I knew didn't have those star levels.

I grew up in Santa Fe and worked at the ElDorado. I knew a downtown hotel would be expensive over Xmas. Didn't think I'd get a higher star level for the prices I was trying but I thought it was worth a try. I was trying to avoid getting the Travelodge. Have stayed there before and the staff is very unfriendly and the rooms are dirty. I'm happy with the Sage Inn as it is right across the street from Travelodge and only blocks from parent's house.
