Hotwire Hotel: 2* Savannah (Historic District) River Inn

Trying to book four days in Savannah (including a Friday and Saturday night) is not easy.

Decided to go with this one at $55. I don't think the Savannah River Inn is supposed to be any great shakes--pretty basic at best, I've heard--but it's right in the historic district and has some nice amenities like a fridge and microwave in the room. Not a great deal, but a good one. It can be hard to find a place in the historic district for under $100, especially on weekend nights!

I was kind of hoping to get the Staybridge Suites for around this price (HOTWIRE or PRICELINE) but didn't have the patience and I was afraid if I waited for a better deal this semi-good deal would be gone in the meantime.

Oh, well. I'm reasonably pleased. I've been to Savannah many, many times, but never had the pleasure of staying right in the Historic District. It should be a blast!
