jerrytodd Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Splitting stays is not an option, looking only in the Copley Square (Zone 4) Quincy Market (Zone 6) zones.Any advice is appreciated - I have never used PRICELINE before. Also I am from Canada and just wondering if all of the bidding from Canada issues I saw in the forum are resolved. Thanks so much
thereuare Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! You should have no problem bidding thru the PRICELINE US site.We wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that was more than you were willing to bid, if you let us know your maximum bid for this stay we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. jerrytodd Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Posted September 12, 2008 Thanks for your help - ideally it would be $150/night which would appear to be about 40% of the 3* rate.
thereuare Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 $150/night which would appear to be about 40% of the 3* rate. But you want a 4 star hotel, correct? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jerrytodd Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Posted September 12, 2008 But you want a 4 star hotel, correct?Yes correct, sorry if I confused the situation.
thereuare Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Then i'm not sure why you're basing your maximum bid off a discount of a 3 star rate?? :)Regardless, at the 4* level you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 4* Copley...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Quincy...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Copley and re-bid zone3...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Quincy and re-bid zone3...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Copley and Quincy...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $135, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Copley and Quincy and re-bid zone3...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. jerrytodd Posted October 6, 2008 Author Report Posted October 6, 2008 Spent more than I wanted but got Omni Parker House Boston for $210/night 4* - tried your system which was great but sadly found myself starting at $180 then up. Worked like a charm -- thanks so much
thereuare Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Congratulations on on your win!Glad to see you were successful, as i suspected that a 4* for your original stated budget of $150/nite would be a bit of a longshot.Thank you for sharing your results with teh board. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
