Safi Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Hi,I'm visiting NY for the first time in Novemeber. I was looking to stay midtown somewhere (but am open to suggestions.) I've never used hotwire or priceline before but feel that there are savings to be made with a bit of effort. Very happy to put the effort in!Beofr entering into bidding etc I was just looking for some prices to give me an idea of what to expect. I'm looking for the best hotel I can get (pref 4*) for less than about $250 inc of tax.One hotel on Hotwire I was looking at was:4*, midtown east $229 per night, Amenities: Fitness centre, business centre, Tennis, Restaurant & InternetTripadvisor rating 4/5 based on 480+ reviews.I can't quite ID the hotel. Looking at info at top of board it couldbe Gran Hyatt or Intercontinental The Barclay but neither fit perfectly. Any ideas? Is this likly to be any good?Any advice gratefully received.ThanksSafi
thereuare Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! The amenities above are a match (an exact match from previous reports, what aspects do you think are different?) for both the Grand Hyatt and the InterContinental Barclay... but the TripAdvisor rating better matches the InterContinental Barclay so that would be our best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Will this work for your needs?Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
