Priceline Hotel: 3*/4* Hotel NYC 11/23 - 12/1

Hi there!

I'm looking for a 3/4* Hotel in NYC (MTE, MTW, TS, CPS, ESB, MSG or Downtown). Absolute maximum is 200$/night incl. tax.

I'd prefer 4* in MTE, MTW & TS, but I guess that's hard to find for 8 nights at these dates?!

Rates for 28th and following are way higher then those for 23rd - 27th. So it might be reasonable to split the dates? I would'nt mind moving into another hotel for the last days.

Any strategy advice?

Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* or is your goal the least expensive 3* or better hotel for this stay?

What is your maximum bid before taxes and fees... about $165? What if you're successful for the less expensive nites of your stay and then the remaining nites are phohibitively expensive?

Yes I guess $165-170 before taxes.. all in all, I don't want to pay more than $1600. If it's possible to get a 4* - great, if not I have to go down to 3* or maybe even 2*... If 28th - 1st are not to get within that limit, I'll move to Jersey and do a little outlet shopping...

I would try as follows...

At the 4* level you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone3...
