3 star in San Juan: amenities: Comp Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi-Speed Internet.

Date is one night: 4/17/09 to 4/18/09. Rate is 173.

Also any feeling on whether prices will drop closer to the end of the year?

The above is a match for the Best Western Hotel Pierre so that would be our best guess.

Regarding purchasing now or waiting until closer to check-in, see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ... although i'll add that i think there are better values than this, for if we're correct on the ID above, it's just about the same rate as Expedia.
