Hi All

I know I am abit quick off the mark seeing as we are not travelling till May09 but i thought it would be best to put in a few offers now and if we have no luck try again nearer the time.

Can you please help me to work out a strategy for the following;

Max Bid - $250

Areas - 1. Midtown East 2. Midtown West 3. Times Square

Hotel Class - 4 Star

Travel Dates - 01May09 - 07May09

Excellent website.... keep up the good work!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

While prices are historically high this time of year, do you want to go up to $250 this far ahead of your stay?

Also, is there a reason you're not including the CPS zone (or the ESB zone for that matter) which also typically work out well for the average visitor... including all acceptable zones will increase the number of hotels able to accept your bid and increase the chances of getting a lower bid accepted.

Ideally we would not like to go up to $250 this early although we were not sure when was the best time to find the deals.

What do you recommend would be best? Shall we bid lower at the moment or wait till nearer the time to start bidding?

Having looked again there is no reason not to include the CPS and EPS areas. As you advise there is an increased chance of finding the best deal.

Thanks for your speedy reply.

I would currently go up to about $175 or so... this is likely much too low, but that's the idea, is only locking something in this far in advance if it's truly a deal.

If this is acceptable i would bid as follows:

At the 4* level you have six re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Select 4* MTE, MTW, CPS, ESB, and TS...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone4...

Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone5...

Bid $145, if rejected close browser use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 4* MTE, MTW, CPS, ESB, and TS and re-bid zone6...

Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone4...

Hi All

Can you please help me to work out a strategy for the following;

I'd start at $105 for a 4* bid in MTE, $115 for a 4* bid in MTW or TS. If neither is accepted, I'd up by $5 24 hours later (for MTE, $105, $110, etc.)

There's also a number of HOTWIRE properties in your price range, if you are interested in trying to look for a more specific property.

Additionally, Orbitz.com does have some regular rate properties in your budget range, and if you use coupon code FABSAVE10, you get an additional 10% off per night.

Please use the site's PRICELINE, HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com links.
