Nicole_Chicago Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Hi, Using your PRICELINE link, I won the Cambridge Marriott for $80, staying one night, 9/21/08. I wanted to be closer to the airport for my early morning flight, but I was having zero luck. I tried unsucessfully to bid for 4* up to $100, when I added 3* and bid $80 I was successful. Boston is super expensive! It's more expensive than my trip to NYC! I'm done with Boston, but I'll be back for future trips! Thanks, Nicole
thereuare Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Congratulations on your win!Boston can often be "hit or miss" as rates are sometimes fairly reasonable, but at other times prohibitively expensive. On a relative basis, I don't think the city has that many hotel rooms and a moderate event can greatly have an effect on rates. I was recently at the Boston Waterfront and they'll be building a new tower on to that property in the coming year (well, breaking ground at least) and there is a new W Hotel (and residences, as is the trend lately) going up in the city as well.. i'm sure there are other hotel projects taking place as well.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
