I was trying to get a 3* in Orange County, but couldn't find one in my budget range. I have gotten 3* in Orange County (Buena Park) for $47, but not this time. I finally broke down and went with a 2.5* hotel. I used the posting on BetterBidding by "nicoee" (8/14/08) to start my baseline bidding as it was during the same week I was going. Hey, nicoee and I will be there at the same time. (hehehe... BetterBidding Bidders Unite!)

Disneyland Area 2.5* $45 - Accepted

Previously rejected bid was $46.

**** Disneyland Hotel Parking Notice ****

Just an FYI, I made this same trip a few years ago and there are many hotels in close proximity of Disneyland that charge for parking. This information is not given on Priceline. (eg. "By selecting this area, there may be an additional $10-$20 for parking a vehicle") A few years ago, I got a 3* hotel for $35 per night and ended having to pay $18 a night for self-serve parking.

I used hotwire on 9/1 to get the disneyland north, 3*'s for $55 (4 rooms) for 10/23 - 10/26. They gave me the Holiday Inn....which is under construction. Hotwire emailed me and offered me $50 in credit to cancel or 1/2 off in credit if I kept the reservation. I canceled the reservation and then used the same criteria on hotwire today 9/6 this time for $54. Well, they gave me the same hotel and i canceled again and hotwire gave me another $50 credit. So, I'm up to $100 credit but looking for a hotel with a pool close to the magic kingdom. Any thougts?
