Hi,

I'm looking for help with getting a priceline hotel for 2 nights. I've heard that Sundays are cheaper so could do Oct. 12-14 if cheaper. But some have suggested that business hotels are cheaper on the weekend so the Friday to Sunday (10-12) would work too. The other nights we would stay with a relative.

Our preferred zones are MTW, MTE and CPS. Times Square and Empire State and Downtown/Soho could also be options

I'm looking for 4* and have read about some wins at the $140-$160 range. Is this feasible for the time period we are going? My max is $175. If we can't swing that then I would look for a 3* - what would be a "good win" price for a 3*.

I've read a lot about the re-bidding process. However, do I select all the 3 zones I want to stay each time and just simply add a new rebid zone OR do I select a preferred zone and then rebid with another preferred zone and another until i run out and then start adding the rebid zones?

Also when would I get the best deal - we're a month and a half away now - should I start now or wait till end of Sept/early Oct.?

Any other advice appreciated.

Do you want to include these 'alternate' zones in your first round of bidding or not... i do think you'll need to if you're currently going to have a shot at a 4* at $175 or less for these dates; but you can always try up to your limit first in your prefered zones before adding these other options.
