Hey all,

I am a newbie, but have been over on Flyertalk for a while now. I am taking my girlfriend(one day very soon to be fiance) to New York for her first real New York trip. I am looking for a fairly upperclass hotel, but dont want to break the bank. We are in our mid-20's so we can handle trendy. I am mainly interested in MTW, MTE, Central park south. However, I am open to other options as well since It has been a few years since my last trip to the city, Im a real deal shopper - so the better the deal the more I like it. Any reccomendations at all will be appreciated.

Welcome to BetterBidding... you're certainly in the right place!

Based upon rates i'm currently seeing i think it will take a big between $140-$180 to be successful at a 4* property (since you have time you could certainly start lower than that and i recommend that you do), but if you're not willing to currently bid that high than i think you should book a cancellable back-up and we'll continue to monitor rates to see if they come down at all.

Once you figure out your check-out date let us know the maximum you would be willing to bid at this point and we'll recommend a strategy for you to follow.
